Prima School of Dancing started as a very small studio in 1964, but
since then we have grown to become the largest dance school in Rapid City. At Prima, we conduct classes with students as little as three and a half years old (pre-school) and as big as are interested in coming (adults). Our offerings include well-known forms like ballet, tap, and jazz, and range to include hip hop and modern dance. (Monitor the class descriptions for current offerings). The main dance season and classes run from September to May, and special programs (from the Little Princess Dance Camp to the Hip Hop Boot Camp) run throughout the summer for all ages.
We realize that parents have choices between studios
and activities for their children, which is why we feel very fortunate that so many families believe we are the best
choice for their student's dance education.
[Testimonials] We are constantly evaluating and improving our
facilities and continually training our staff to ensure that we
provide our students and parents with the best experience possible. That
positive experience is our mission -- to use an enjoyable and
enriching activity to improve your child's rhythm, flexibility, balance, musicality, poise, and self-discipline.
All studios are not the same. We invite you to see why Prima School of Dancing is the right choice for your child to enjoy the beautiful, fun, and athletic art form of dance.
